Scientific Management Committee

The Duke School of Medicine Scientific Management Committee is a diverse group of faculty and research administrators who provide independent review and provide recommendations on research and data integrity for high-risk, high-profile, commercializable or translational science.  This independent review provides a coordinated evaluation of the research with proactive discussion and management across all components of institutional integrity compliance.

• The Committee Chairs work with faculty, study-specific Data Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMBs), Conflict of Interest Office, Office of Licensing and Ventures (OLV), Office of Research Contracts (ORC), Advancing Scientific Integrity, Services and Training (ASIST), and the Clinical Quality Management Program (CQMP) to communicate and implement Scientific Management Committee recommendations.
